At a time when many Americans can barely afford Burger King and a movie, Obama boasts of spending a billion dollars on his re-election campaign. Questioned at a recent appearance about the spiraling fuel costs, Obama said, "Get used to it" – and with an insouciant grin and chortle, he told another person at the event, who complained about the effect high fuel prices were having on his family, to "get a more fuel-efficient car."
The Obamas behave as if they were sharecroppers living in a trailer and hit the Powerball, but instead of getting new tires for their trailer and a new pickup truck, they moved to Washington . And instead of making possum pie, with goats and chickens in the front yard, they're spending and living large at taxpayer expense – opulent vacations, gala balls, resplendent dinners and exclusive command performances at the White House, grand date nights, golf, basketball, more golf, exclusive resorts and still more golf.
Expensive, ill-fitting and ill-chosen wigs and fashions hardly befit the first lady of the United States . The Obamas have behaved in every way but presidential – which is why it's so offensive when we hear Obama say, in order "to restore fiscal responsibility, we all need to share in the sacrifice – but we don't have to sacrifice the America we believe in."
The American people have been sacrificing; it is he and his family who are behaving as if they've never had two nickels to rub together – and now, having hit the mother lode, they're going to spend away their feelings of inadequacy at the taxpayers' expense.
Obama continues to exhibit behavior that, at best, can be described as mobocratic and, at worst, reveals a deeply damaged individual. In a February 2010 column, I asked, "Is Obama unraveling? "I wrote that it was beginning to appear the growing mistrust of him and contempt for his policies was beginning to have a destabilizing effect on him.
At that time, I wrote that not having things go one's way can be a bitter pill, but reasonable people don't behave as he was behaving. He had insulted Republicans at their luncheon, where he had been an invited guest. I had speculated that was, in part, what had led him to falsely accuse Supreme Court justices before Congress, the nation and the world, during the 2010 State of the Union address.
It appeared, at that time, as if he were "fraying around the emotional edges." That behavior has not abated – it has become more pronounced. While addressing the nation, after being forced to explain the validity of his unilateral aggression with Libya , America witnessed a petulant individual scowling and scolding the public for daring to insist he explain his actions.
But during an afternoon speech to address the budget/debt, he took his scornful, unstable despotic behavior to depths that should give the nation cause for concern. Displaying a dark psychopathy more representative of an episode of "The Tudors" television series, he invited Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., to sit in the front row during his speech and then proceeded to berate both Ryan and Ryan's budget-cutting plan. Even liberal Democrats were put off by the act. MSNBC's Joe Scarborough questioned the sanity of Obama's actions.
Today, criticism is coming from all sides. A senior Democrat lawmaker said, "I have been very disappointed in [Obama], to the point where I'm embarrassed that I endorsed him. It's so bad that some of us are thinking, is there some way we can replace him? How do you get rid of this guy?" ("Democrats' Disgust with Obama," The Daily Beast, April 15, 2011)
Steve McCann wrote: Obama's speech "was chock full of lies, deceit and crass fear-mongering. It must be said that [he] is the most dishonest, deceitful and mendacious person in a position of power I have ever witnessed" ("The Mendacity of Barack Obama,"AmericanThinker.com, April 15, 2011).
McCann continued: "[His] performance was the culmination of four years of outright lies and narcissism that have been largely ignored by the media, including some in the conservative press and political class who are loath to call [him] what he is in the bluntest of terms: a liar and a fraud. That he relies on his skin color to intimidate, either outright or by insinuation [against] those who oppose his radical agenda only add to his audacity. It is apparent that he has gotten away with his character flaws his entire life, aided and abetted by sycophants around him. ..."
With these being among the kinder rebukes being directed at Obama, and with people becoming less intimidated by his willingness to use race as a bludgeon, with falling poll numbers in every meaningful category and an increasingly aggressive tea-party opposition – how much longer before he cracks completely?
The coming months of political life are not going to be pleasant for Obama. Possessed by a self-perceived palatine mindset, that in his mind places him above criticism, how long before he cracks in public? Can America risk a man with a documented track record of lying and misrepresenting truth as a basic way of life, who is becoming increasingly more contumelious?

In the interest of fairness and social justice, a new occupy movement has sprung up.
How much money have you wasted on golf lessons? New clubs? The hottest new golf ball?
What has been your reward for this investment of time and money? Double bogeys!
It's unfair...therefore I share with you today the latest addition to the Occupy Movement, Occupy The PGA Tour!!! Power to the Hacker!
I am a member of golf's 99%. I play golf, but have not yet made it to the professional level!! I have played the game many years, but have not really put in the practice time and study to be the best. I also probably do not have the skills to really get there either.
However, I now feel that I should be paid by the successful professionals for trying. It isn't fair that those 1% pf the players who have worked harder, have studied the game, have better equipment and are stronger and more skilled should make all that money.
Oh sure, they have their charities that they give millions of dollars to, but I am sure that they write all that off on their tax returns to reduce paying their fair share. Is that fair?
They should pay for my golf, buy me new equipment and pay me some of their winnings. The whole system should be changed to accommodate people like me!!
Let's occupy a golf course and demand that those who are better at what they do pay for us who aren't as good. Whining should get us something, like media attention and sympathy from liberals!!
The question of the eligibility of Barack Obama to occupy the office of President has been roiling for years. Efforts to get the courts to take a look at this issue have failed. Until now. Forget about where he may have been born, the validity of the "official" birth certificate released by the White House and all the rest. The critical issue now facing Obama is this' he is not the child of 2 American citizens. Couple this with the fact that there is an existing Supreme Court ruling that says to be a "natural born citizen", you must have had 2 parents who were citizens. That's the tack taken in a Georgia lawsuit that challenges Obama's eligibility on that basis. Here's the story. http://www.wnd.com/2012/01/obama-to-miss-eligibility-hearing/
So now, thanks to John Boehner, the dufus who's currently posing as Speaker of the House, Barack Obama is the tax cutting hero of the middle class. Way to go John.
Who in the world is devising the strategy for these guys? They allow themselves to be manuevered into a corner, then set themselves on fire like some Buddhist monk in Saigon in the 60's.
It's unbelieveable that Harry Reid and his minions can consistently tie a can to the tail of the GOP and make them look like they are totally clueless. Except that Harry has help from Boehner and Co. And for Obama, this whole situation has the added advantage of having the Speaker hang his own membership out to dry.
Charles Krauthammer wrote a piece today that nails it.
Here it is. http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/286595/gop-s-payroll-tax-debacle-charles-krauthammer
Without so much as a "By your leave" Congress is about to strip you of your Constitutional rights. I'm talking about the provisions in the new Defense Appropriations Bill. Sounds like a harmless enough piece of legislation to our rights, merely a bill to provide funding for the military right?
Wrong.
Rather than try and go thru the details of what is in this disaster of a bill myself I am providing a link to an extensive piece from American Thinker that has links to the specifics of the bill.
Frightening. http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2011/12/freedom_lost.html
The recent actions in the NLRB vs. Boeing case make it pretty obvious that the heavy handed actions of the union dominated NLRB on behalf of the Machinists Union worked. Boeing has been making plans for the manufacture of their next generation 737, the 737 Max. When they let the bid for the contract it was only let to one state, Washington. No other state was allowed to bid for the contract.
Why would Boeing do this?
The answer seems clear. Boeing ran the numbers and saw how much they would spend (millions of dollars) in the legal fight defending their right to open the Dreamliner 757 plant in N. Charleston. They weighed that against offering the Machinists Union the new 737 contract as a payoff to drop their NLRB complaint and go away. It appeared to Boeing that the easiest and cheapest way out of this mess was to give the Union more work. Sure enough, as soon as the new 737 deal was announced the Union dropped their NLRB complaint. The ability of unions to use the government as a club to get what they want from a private business is pretty disgusting. There is legislation pending that would prevent the NLRB from having judicial power in the future and let the courts decide this kind of issue, which is where they belong.
More chilling is this comment from the NLRB's lead lawyer threatening anyone else that has the audacity to try and expand or open a business in a right to work state.
"National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) General Counsel Lafe Solomon is again threatening companies that might contemplate moving business to a right-to-work state. Even though the NLRB dropped its suit against Boeing, Solomon stated, 'If we were ever faced with a similar pattern, we might well issue a complaint.' The Boeing case was only a symptom of the problem. Now the NLRB's threat to file more suits against any other company thinking about setting up shop in a right-to-work state makes the solution crystal clear. Congress needs to strip the NLRB's adjudicatory powers so this never happens again."
That's what this whole sordid mess was all about, this administration using the power of the Federal government to keep private industry in line and help out their union buddies.
The bill to limit the NLRB's power passed in the House but will likely die in the Harry Reid controlled Senate.
The Republican-dominated House approved a bill Thursday that would undercut the government's labor dispute with Boeing Co., wading into a case that has angered business groups and become a major political issue in the GOP presidential primary.
The measure, approved 238-186, would ban the National Labor Relations Board from ordering any employer to shut plants or relocate work, even if a company violates labor laws.
While the bill is not expected to get a vote in the Democratic-run Senate, Republicans are trying to keep up pressure on the agency over a move they claim interferes with legitimate business decisions.
"It tells job creators they don't have to fear an activist NLRB reversing important decisions about where to locate a business," said Minnesota Rep. John Kline, chairman of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce.
GOP lawmakers have vilified the NLRB for filing a complaint in April that alleges Boeing violated labor laws when it opened a new production line for its 787 airplane in South Carolina, a right-to-work state. The board's acting general counsel, Lafe Solomon, says Boeing went to South Carolina to punish union workers in Washington state for past strikes and wants the work moved to the West Coast.
Union leaders claim the bill would render toothless the board's ability to enforce labor laws when companies simply eliminate work to get rid of employees who are pro-union. Democrats said the measure would give companies a free pass to punish employees for exercising their rights to organize.
"The bill before us guts the very fundamental rights of American workers to fight for better wages and working conditions and it makes it easier for companies to outsource American jobs overseas," said Rep. Jim McGovern, D-Mass.
The House vote fell largely along party lines, although eight Democrats from right-to-work states voted for the bill. Among them were Reps. Mike McIntyre and Heath Shuler of North Carolina. There are 22 states with right-to-work laws that prohibit union fees from being a condition of employment. Seven Republicans opposed the measure, all from non-right-to-work states with large concentrations of union members
With the unemployment rate at terrribly high levels we want to pass along every opportunity where job openings are available.
Here's the latest for the BMW plant. Good luck!
